Kicking Off the New Year with a Winter Wedding

Our favorite way to ring in the New Year is with a Winter Wedding!

Our favorite way to ring in the New Year is with a Winter Wedding! Not only do we get to witness amazing people stepping into their future together, but the winter months provide positives that you just can’t get in summer. Did you know that getting married in winter has lots of advantages? Here are our top three, including how our stunning couple, Jordan and Nathan (married January 1, 2022), used each to their favor.

Winter Weddings Equal Vendor Availability

Many venues and vendors book up quickly during the summer months and can be more costly. Those same locations and vendors are often available for a lower price during the colder months. Because the winter months aren’t as busy as others, vendors are also able to focus more of their attention on your big day!

Stress-free Weather

What do we love most about winter weddings? The weather of course! That may sound odd, but spring, summer and fall can all leave you at the mercy of Mother Nature. Extreme heat and humidity, rain showers, and extreme weather are things one does not have to think about for winter. And the best part about a winter wedding is the lack of stress about the elements since they typically take place inside. The expansive space of the Pavilion at Carriage Farm provided Jordan and Nathan ample space for their day. From getting ready in the Bridal Suite and Groom’s Den, to their gorgeous indoor ceremony, to the Reception, the focus was totally on the couple and not the weather!

Did you know there are several wonderful ‘in-season’ flowers found in winter? They include: Amaryllis, Anemone, Camellias, Casablanca Lilies, Forget-me-nots, French Tulips, Gardenias, Holly, Jasmine, Orchids, Mini Gerberas, Paperwhites (Narcissus), Poinsettias, and Roses.

Turn Ordinary into Extraordinary!

Use the elements of the season to inspire your decorating theme and step out of the ordinary. Go beyond the literal “Red and Green” or “Winter White” wedding. Consider a sophisticated color palette using emeralds and plums, warm cream and berry tones, or dazzling silver and gold. We just loved the luxe winter color palette that Jordan chose! The bridesmaids looked stunning in their jewel toned dresses. The flowers dazzled with winter white roses, lush greenery, and a splash of color. This same theme carried through the sweetheart table décor and the reception space florals and lighting. Incredibly romantic!
